The EAT Cool Damper device is a highly effective vibration absorbing and dissipating damper. The resulting benefit is reduced distortion from the tube circuit, as well as vastly reduced tendencies for the vacuum tube to operate in a microphonic manner. This improves sound quality with respect to providing more controlled and deeper bass, a cleaner sound stage, crisper and greater dynamic range, and better focus of the entire sound field.
The Cool Damper also reduces the operating temperature of the glass envelope of a vacuum tube by about 10%, which can appreciably extend the lifetime of the tube.
The Cool Damper is a consumer friendly product that is easy to install, and fabulously simple in design.
The Cool Damper is constructed of soft aluminum extrusion that has been coated with a special blended mix of Teflon and carbon composite PTFE. The Cool Dampers are finished with long-lasting anodic oxidation colors.
For flexible and easy use, the EAT Cool Damper uses six special carbon-Teflon composite V- profile strips that are adjustable and configurable to fit individual tube glass envelopes.
