Ferrum brings more than two decades of expertise in digital audio to music lovers.

Marcin Hamerla

Ferrum got its start as HEM, the manufacturing partner of Mytek.  Now on their own, Ferrum has advanced the art of turning digital code into music.

You might ask where the name Ferrum came from.  Ferrum is the Latin word for iron.  So how does that translate to hi-fi?  Marcin Hamerla, the founder of HEM and Ferrum came up with the idea, and for several clever reasons.  First, Marcin’s father worked with iron as a blacksmith.  Also, the area around Pruszków, Poland, where Ferrum is located, is rich with iron deposits.

Finally, composer and pianist Frederic Chopin is from a town in the region, Żelazowa Wola.  Żelazowa is Polish for iron.

Now back to hi-fi.  Building on their experience in building high-quality digital hi-fi, Ferrum offers a small but growing range of high performance components that are also great value for the money.  If you are looking to upgrade your main digital or build a desktop headphone setup, Ferrum has got affordable, high quality choices for you.

Osage Audio Products is proud to have been appointed a retailer of Ferrum hi-fi components. If you have any questions about Ferrum or how these products can improve your listening experience, please call us at 573-696-3551 or email us(make email us clickable to open email in new window).

Ferrum is not available for purchased in our Online Store.  Purchases must be made in our showrooms, by telephone, or by email.  Be sure to call us with any questions.
