Brilon Marketplace
Born in Brilon, North Rhine-Westphalia Germany, in the kitchen of Joachim Gerhard in 1984, Audio Physic has grown and matured to become one of the world leaders in loudspeaker design innovation. Their product line now encompasses everything from top performing audio perfectionist loudspeakers to class leading systems for home cinema.
Their list of loudspeaker design innovations is a long one. Those innovations include their HHC III Tweeter, HHC III Midrange Driver, Sandwich Cabinet Construction, Ceramic Foam Bracing, Active Cone Damping, CCAC (Ceramic-Coated Aluminum Cone), VCT (Vibration Control Terminal), VCF (Vibration Control Feet), Invisible Subwoofer, Honeycomb Sandwich Board inner cabinet chamber, Push-Pull Woofer Configuration, and time-aligned cabinet design.
Audio Physic also offers some models with a an outer cabinet “skin” of glass. A very small air gap exists between the glass outer surface and the inner MDF cabinet. This design helps in the control of unwanted cabinet vibrations.
Manfred Diestertich
Manfred Diestertich joined Audio Physic in the early 1990s and he serves as chief designer. The innovations that you see in Audio Physic loudspeakers today are the results of his skill and work. Under his leadership the company has grown from that kitchen enterprise to one that employs dozens of people and has won numerous industry awards.
Audio Physic offers several models of loudspeakers, and not just to meet several price points. One of the starting points for their designs is to identify a room size and design a loudspeaker system that will operate optimally in a room of that size. This is an approach that other brands don’t consider, but one that is important for the consumer to get the most from their system.
Also on offer is a good selection of finish options. There is something for almost any taste and décor: real wood veneers in both satin and gloss finishes, gloss paint finishes, and glass outer panels.
